Our paint process

Matching modern automotive paint is a science. We scan your existing paint color with a digital spectrophotometer, formulate a custom blend, and spray in a dust-free, climate-controlled downdraft booth. Every job includes proper surface prep (sanding, cleaning, masking), primer where needed, base coat, clear coat, and a final polish to blend into surrounding panels seamlessly.

Partial panel repair vs. full repaint

Most collision work requires blending paint into adjacent panels so the repair isn't visible. This is the gold standard and what insurance typically covers. For faded clear coat, oxidation, or a color change, a full repaint is the right call. We'll walk you through the options and cost for each approach before any work starts.

Clear coat restoration

If your paint is peeling, fading, or chalky, it's usually a clear coat failure. The color itself is still good underneath. In many cases we can restore the clear coat for far less than a full repaint. We assess each case honestly and tell you if restoration is worthwhile, or if a respray is the only real fix.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked

If you don't see your question, give us a call. We're happy to walk you through it.

Yes. We pull the OEM paint code for your vehicle and follow the manufacturer's refinish specifications — the correct number of base and clear coats, approved materials, and proper film build and cure. Modern factory finishes are multi-stage (basecoat, sometimes a tri-coat pearl, then clear), and matching them to manufacturer standards is what keeps the repaired panel from looking off or failing early. As an I-CAR Gold Class Certified shop, our refinish work follows current OEM-aligned procedures, not shortcuts.
